Depression

Depression can be a subtle or overwhelming feeling of sadness.  It can also manifest as a lack of enjoyment for things you normally enjoy, irritability, guilt and hopelessness,  lack of concentration, and sleep or eating changes.  Your depression might have seemingly come out of nowhere, or started as a result of challenging or traumatic life events, stress, grief, health challenges, or feelings of being overwhelmed.  It’s also an illness that is not your fault.  It’s hard when we’re depressed to see beyond our depression and to imagine the possibility that we can feel better and live a more fulfilling life.  Therapy can support you to see those possibilities and to find ways to take action to make the possibility a reality.  If you need support with depression, please reach out.
